Prof. Dr. Jamal Zaid Al-Kilani, Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Director of the An-Najah Center for Religious Studies, is participating in the Second International Conference on Religious Freedom and Peacebuilding, held in Qatar at the Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue.

As part of his participation in the Second International Conference on Religious Freedom and Peacebuilding, organized by the Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue in cooperation with the Multi-Faith Neighbors Network, Prof. Dr. Jamal Zaid Al-Kilani, Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Director of the An-Najah Center for Religious Studies, attended the conference held in Doha under the theme: “From Religious Freedom to Religious Responsibility: Building Peace in a Conflicted World.”
The three-day conference has brought together a distinguished group of religious scholars, academics, policymakers, and faith leaders from around the world. This year’s conference comes at a critical time that calls for strengthening interfaith dialogue and deepening mutual understanding in order to promote peace in a world facing numerous challenges and conflicts.
The visit of Prof. Dr. Jamal Zaid Al-Kilani to the conference comes as a continuation of the agreement signed between the An-Najah Center for Religious Studies and the Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue, which aims to enhance academic and research cooperation in the fields of religious freedom and interfaith dialogue.
Al-Kilani noted that this visit reflects the commitment of both centers to advancing mechanisms for interfaith dialogue and exchanging knowledge and practices that contribute to peacebuilding and the promotion of tolerance across diverse societies.
Al-Kilani also participated in several panel discussions addressing the challenges faced by societies in their pursuit of peace, emphasizing the need for concerted efforts from all stakeholders, including governments and religious institutions, to promote a culture of peace and tolerance.
His participation in this conference further reinforces the role of academics and educational institutions in advancing the principles of religious freedom and tolerance, affirming that interfaith dialogue remains the most effective pathway toward achieving a world characterized by peace and stability.
