Samaritan religious monuments in Palestine

The Samaritans are considered to be the smallest and most ancient religious communities worldwide. They came to the holy land of Palestine after they had left Egypt and after Exodus which lasted for forty years in Sinai. This community has been living in Palestine since then. They live on a village called Kiryat Luza on Gerizim Mount in Nablus, West Bank. Others live in Holon, a city on the occupied lands of Palestine.

The word Samaritan is derived from the Hebrew word Shamir which means the conservative. They say they have the original version of the Torah which had not been distorted. Referring to this original version, they know their history.

The Samaritans reject to be called Jewish. They insist on the idea of being the real dynasty of Moses.
