The Qibli Mosque is located at the south of Al-Aqsa Mosque which is almost 142 dunums (donum, dunam). However, the Qibli Mosque is 4,500 square meters. Abdul-Malik ibn Marwan, the Umayyad Caliph ordered to build it, and Al-Walid ibn Abdul-Malik finished building it in 705 CE. It is 80 meters long and 55 meters wide. It is placed on 53 marble columns and 49 squared spars. in the early eleventh century, some of its parts were fixed, and its dome and north gates were constructed.
