An-Najah Center for Religious Studies Participates in the Third International Scientific Conference of the Arab Council for Sustainable Development (The Impact of Wars and Conflicts on Sustainable Development)

Two researchers from An-Najah Center for Religious Studies – An-Najah National University, Nablus, Palestine, Prof. Jamal Zaid Al-Kilani and Dr. Amer Judallah, participated in the international conference organized by the Arab Council for Sustainable Development, held in-person at Amman Arab University on November 25–26, 2025, under the patronage of the Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, Prof. Omar Ezzat Salameh.
The researchers presented a joint paper titled:
“The Role of Divine Laws in Enhancing Social Cohesion and Building Peace during Wars and Conflicts.” The paper addressed the ethical and legislative roles of divine laws in consolidating civil peace, strengthening social cohesion, and mitigating the impacts of wars and conflicts, in alignment with the objectives of Sharia and the goals of sustainable development.
The conference featured a distinguished group of researchers and academics from several Arab and Islamic countries, presenting diverse papers within the conference’s thematic tracks. These focused on the impact of wars and conflicts on sustainable development pathways and explored solutions from a scientific and integrative perspective.
This participation reflects An-Najah Center for Religious Studies’ ongoing efforts to support specialized scientific research, enhance the university’s presence in Arab and international academic forums, and highlight the contribution of religious studies to addressing humanitarian challenges.
